# Team roles and permissions

> Manage who can access roles, candidates, and settings.

Ribbon offers three common permission levels:

* **Member:** Work with assigned roles and review candidates.
* **Team Admin:** Manage members in their sub-team and import requisitions.
* **System Admin:** Manage organization-wide settings, ATS connections, billing, and users.

## Update a teammate’s role

1. Go to **Settings → Teams and Members**.
2. Find the person in **Directory**.
3. Use the **Seat** dropdown to change their role.

## Inviting teammates

Use **Settings → Teams and Members** to invite users. If invitations don’t arrive, ask IT to allow emails from `ribbon.ai`. For SSO, IT may need to assign the user to Ribbon in the identity provider.
